General Manager – Noiré Dispensary

Location: Maplewood, NJ

Position Summary

Noiré Dispensary is seeking an experienced and driven General Manager (GM) to oversee the daily operations of our family-owned cannabis dispensary. The GM will be responsible for ensuring compliance with state regulations, delivering exceptional customer service, achieving financial and operational goals, and leading a team of passionate employees. This role requires a strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment while maintaining the culture and values of our community-focused dispensary.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Compliance

• Ensure all dispensary operations comply with New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) rules and local laws.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and security protocols.
• Maintain accurate records and reports in line with regulatory requirements.
• Implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all departments.

Leadership & Team Management

• Hire, train, schedule, and manage staff, including budtenders, supervisors, and inventory specialists.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and support professional growth.
• Foster a positive, customer-first work culture that aligns with Noiré Dispensary’s mission and values.
• Lead by example to uphold high standards of professionalism and service.

Sales & Customer Experience

• Drive sales by setting and achieving revenue targets, upselling, and promoting loyalty programs.
• Monitor customer satisfaction through feedback, reviews, and in-store interactions.
• Ensure a welcoming and inclusive shopping environment for all customers.
• Collaborate with marketing on community events, promotions, and partnerships.

Financial & Business Management

• Oversee budgets, payroll, and expense management to ensure profitability.
• Analyze sales data and provide recommendations for inventory restocking and product selection.
• Monitor KPIs and prepare reports for ownership on performance, trends, and improvements.
• Work with vendors and distributors to ensure timely, compliant product acquisition.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of retail management experience (cannabis, hospitality, or specialty retail preferred).
• Strong knowledge of cannabis compliance regulations in New Jersey or ability to quickly become compliant.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams of 10+ employees.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, reporting, and data analysis.
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Must pass background check and obtain all state-required cannabis credentials.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
• Must possess valid government issued identification
